Go through the powerpoint and learn to count in 10s to 100.  Write the numbers in your red book.

The Gruffalo

 

Watch or read ‘The Gruffalo’.  Write a character description of the Gruffalo.  Think about the words throughout the story that are used to describe him.

Throughout the story, the mouse talks about the Gruffalo’s favourite food.  Use these to make a menu for a Gruffalo cafe.

Create your own fictional Gruffalo.  Your Gruffalo should be different to the one in the story.  Draw your Gruffalo and label the main features.

Today, you will be counting in 2s, 5s and 10s using money.  There are three levels of difficulty for this task - 1 star is easy, 2 stars slightly harder and 3 stars is the hardest.  Choose the right degree of challenge for you.  If it too easy or too hard, go up or down a level.

Identify the pairs of rhyming words in the story.  Write down any pairs of rhyming words you can find.  Can you find some more of your own?
