Go through the powerpoint on halving.  Once you have understood what a half is, complete the sheets.

English - The Highway Rat

 

Watch the story of the Highway Rat (or read the book if you have it at home).  In the story, the Highway Rat steals from others around him.  Make a 'wanted' poster for the Highway Rat, listing his name, what he looks like and his crimes.  Remember to offer a reward!

 

There is a template for a wanted poster below if you wish to use it.

At the end of the story, the cunning duck becomes the hero by saving the day.  If you were the hero in the story, what would you do to stop the Highway Rat from stealing?  How would you help?

Write a book / story review of the Highway Rat.  Which parts of the story did you enjoy / which parts did you not like so much?  Why?  Is there anything you would change about the story?
