Term 6
As you know, we will be returning to school in Term 6, although it will look very different to how it has previously.
Those children who are returning will be welcomed back in a week on, week off process. This will therefore leave lots of our lovely Ladybirds at home still working on their home learning.
For the first 2 weeks back, we will be reading 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff' (1st - 12th June), then in weeks 3 and 4 (15th - 26th June), our focus text will be 'Aliens Love Underpants', in weeks 5 & 6 (29th June - 10th July) we will be exploring superheroes through the books, 'Superworm' and 'Supertato' and finally, in week 7 (13th July) our book will be 'Commotion in the Ocean'.
I will continue to upload a video and other resources for the home learning children to access and work through at their own pace. There will also be links to some excellent online lessons at the Oak National Academy and BBC Bitesize websites, which will provide parents with further activities, lots of them very interactive. Parents, please feel free to do whichever you wish to or mix and match.
As I will be in school, it will be harder to update the photo and video galleries regularly. However, please still keep uploading photos and videos to EExAT or alternatively email them to me at yrrechomework@st-peters-sittingbourne.kent.sch.uk and I will add them as and when I am able to.
Also, if you are continuing your learning at home and would like to send a message to your friends at school, please email it to me and I will read all the messages out in class. Watch out for a video message from us as well!
Parents and children, thank you very much for all your hard work and efforts throughout Term 5, you have been amazing!
School Feast Day
Monday 29th June 2020 marks the School's Feast Day which you will have received details of from Miss Vedamuttu. Please remember to log on to the Virtual Assemblies page at 11:45am.
I hope you have your picnic prepared and that you will be emailing in photos of the fun you have.

Term 5
Each week we are going to base our work on a fairy tale. I will create a page dedicated to each fairy tale and within that page you will find some weekly tasks to have a go at and lots more activities to try if you wish.
Parents, for the weekly tasks, I would like you to do what you can - it is by no means a 'must-do-it-all' checklist - so please don't worry. All I would ask is that you upload some photos of your brilliant children working either on EExAT or email them to me at: yrrechomework@st-peters-sittingbourne.kent.sch.uk and I'll save them into our photo gallery.
Good luck and have fun!
Mr T
