A little message to you all

Still image for this video

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying yourself at home.

I am missing seeing all your smiling faces every day so I would love if you keep in contact with what you have been up to.

Have you drawn some excellent pictures or created beautiful artwork? Have you been scientists carrying out experiments? Have you become an author and written an amazing story or written down some new information you have learnt? Have you been using your maths around the home to do some cooking?

I would love to hear what you have been up to! You can send me photos or work through seesaw or on the email address below. I look forward to hearing from you.

Keep safe and have fun.

Miss Sewell

I will set your daily learning activities on our class platform Seesaw!!! Remember, new tasks will be added every day! I am so pleased to see so many of you are accessing it and producing such fantastic work :) Look at the gallery below as I will be sharing some of your learning! If you are experiencing any difficulties accessing the site, please do not hesitate to email me using the address above! Carry on working hard and having fun at home :)

Parents, I need your help! If you would like to give a shout out to your child for working hard then please send me an email with what they have been doing and why you are proud of them. I will add the shout outs here after Easter.

Mrs Hyams has set you a challenge! - She wants you to keep your beautiful artwork so she can create a folder of it all when we are back at school. Here is her favourite art that she produced last week.

From 17 March through to 1 April we have opened Accelerated Reader to allow children to take AR Quizzes at home.

All you have to do is click on the link below:

The children will then enter the site as they would normally at school.

AR is open from 9 am to 3.25 pm Monday to Friday.

Home learning week beginning 23rd March 2020

Go to the class page and there are a series of images for you to write about. Choose at least one a week to write about. We would love to see the work you produce – please write it into your exercise book.

Dear Parents, here is an overview of the learning we would like the children to be completing over the coming weeks. St Peter’s is committed to ensuring your child is still learning as much as possible and endeavour to do our absolute best to keep this happening. We will be uploading resources onto our class page as often as possible during this time.

Kind regards

Miss Sewell

Use the maths shed games – you have been set a selection but choose at least one daily. Once your assignments are complete you can play any of the games.

You can always play TT rockstars or visit

Read your AR books or any other books you would like to choose from the library. You will be able to test from home – see school website for details.

If you are not on AR or you want to try something new, you could use Readtheory – you have your log on. You have to read the piece of text and then answer a few questions about it.

Log into spelling shed

Complete the assignments set and then play your own game.

Or look at the lists on spelling frame and go over the spellings we have learnt this year

Joe Wicks workouts or just your favoured physical activity

Scratch jr – follow the activities on

Mystery Science   or ExploreLearning Science4Us - science activities to do at home – lots of activities for you to complete at home.

Each student has a unique Home Learning Code to access Seesaw. When signing in with their Home Learning Code, students can post to their journal, respond to activities, ask questions of their teacher and view class announcements.

Students do not see the work of any other student in the class. We will be checking in with these regularly to update new challenges and see what the children have been up to.

As from Thursday 26th March until further notice, St Peter’s Catholic Primary School will be closed. If you are a key worker and require child care assistance, please email: Please stay safe and healthy and adhere to the Government Guidance.
