Weekly Work: 18/05/2020

Dear Parents,

I have signed us up for a free 30 – day trial of a new language resource to use for French home learning :           https://www.languagenut.com

This will expire at the end of May, so the children only have until the end of half-term to use the resource.

Each child has their own login and password, and I will be able to look at the work they have done without you needing to send it to me. Logins and passwords are at the bottom of each class’s French page.

There are lots of activities to complete with a test when the children feel ready. Some of the vocabulary will be new to them and some will be revision of topics we have already covered.

I have assigned homework via the app this week. You can download the free app to use on any tablet or phone.

When your child logs on, they will see a tab called Homework Overview with a red exclamation mark.

If they click on that, a list of topics to practise will come up with tasks to complete.

I hope the children will enjoy using the resources. Don’t forget you can email me at the following address:

french@st-peters-sittingbourne.kent.sch.uk

I would love to have more photos and videos to add to the French page Gallery.

Don’t forget to check the French page Gallery for the leader board for Languagenut – who will be top today?

Kind regards,

Mrs Michell

Dear Parents,

Year Four have been learning about numbers to 30 and dates in French lessons this term.

Please log on to the Linguafun website and play the games on the  Les nombres 11 a 20,

Les nombres 21 a 30 and Les Dates tabs.

When you are confident that you are ready take the quizzes, and if you would like to email me print screens of your certificates, that would be great.

There are also lots of resources on Babelzone, especially on the Games tabs. Try the memory numbers games, then look through for other relevant topics to play.

French in KS2 should equate to an hour a week.

If you cannot log onto the websites, or prefer less screen time I have enclosed some worksheets and games of pairs to print out.

I would love to see pictures of what you have been doing, so email me at
