Bethlehem (Year 1)

Welcome to Bethlehem Class Page!

The class teaching team is Mrs Keene, Mrs Baker and Mrs Vlaev.  We promise lots of laughter in return for your child’s best effort.  Lessons are exciting, fun and engaging with the children having lots of input into what they want to learn.

Key Information

PE Arrangements

Your child will have PE on a Monday and a Thursday.  Children will need to come to school in their PE kit for the day.  This can include jogging bottoms as the weather gets cooler.  Please note that earrings are not permitted for PE - they must be removed before your child comes to school if your child cannot remove their earrings on their own.

Homework

Promoting a love of reading is key at St Peter's! We ask that you share books with your children as often as you can.  We also expect that children read aloud to an adult every day.  We will be using the Go Read app to log when we read with your child at school and ask that you log when you read with your child at home too.  Ensure that your child’s reading book is in their book bag EVERY day so that we can read with them at any given opportunity.  Children will be sent home spellings based on their phonics learning throughout the year.

Homework will be set at the end of the week via SeeSaw and can either be submitted electronically or in hard copy.

If you have any questions, please email the school office and it will be forwarded to us.

We look forward to working with you and your child over the coming year.
