Year 4

Children learn best when they are engaged and curious.  In Year 4 our topics are explored in a creative way through literature.  We use fiction, non-fiction, plays and poetry to encourage the chidren to learn in an independent manner.  Work is recorded in a variety of ways, including through film and the use of ICT.

The children will be set Matheltics and Spellodrome homework on a Friday to be completed by the following Wednesday.   Children are welcome to attend the Homework Club on a Monday lunchtime if there are any ICT issues at home.

At home, children in Year 4 are expected to read everyday for at least 20 minutes and should read aloud to an adult at least once a week.

PE lessons are on a Monday and Friday.  Please ensure they have a PE kit in school at all times.

If you have any questions or queries, please come and see any member of the Year 4 Team.

You are always welcome to come and share your child's learning in the classroom.
