Week Four
In art this week, we added our embroidery and applique to our amazing waistcoats!
Shadow came to see us! We wrote some poetry earlier in the week and wrote a modelled example together about Shadow, so he came to hear the poem about him being read. What a good boy!
In our science lesson this week, we played a game called 'Candy Evolution' to help us understand natural selection. We realised that sultanas are best adapted to the year 6 environment as the smarties are too delicious! Therefore, the sultanas are fittest to survive and will be more likely to evolve. We then read a book called 'The Molliebird', which explained this further. Finally, we put on puppet shows to show natural selection with giraffes, moths and horses as examples.
