Playing basic games with footballs, tennis balls or frisbees helps children to work on their hand eye co-ordination. Can they throw and catch a ball? Can they aim at a target and throw the ball accurately towards it?
Help your child to explore climbing equipment, ride balance bikes or scooters or play running games.
Can your child balance on two feet? How about on one foot? Can they show you a star shape? Can they tuck themselves up into a tight shape. Can your child stand on their tiptoes or stretch out like a scarecrow?
Trying these activities will all help with your child's spatial awareness, balance and body control.
