Term 6

Welcome to Term 6!

I hope that you have all had a lovely half term break. The weather has been lovely and we hope that this continues for the months of June and July. It is hard to believe that we have arrived in our final term of the year. The children have been fantastic and we are so proud of their growth and progress.

This term, like those before it, will be another busy one! We will be exploring, playing and working hard within our indoor and outdoor environments. I am looking forward to carrying on with our learning together!

Climbing Wall & Obstacle Course

On Monday 5th July, as a treat for all our hard working children, the school has booked  a climbing wall and an obstacle course.

The climbing wall will be for Years 3 - 6 and children will need to wear long trousers / jeans / leggings / joggers / a long sleeved top plus trainers whilst climbing.

Reception and Years 1 & 2 have an obstacle course on the field so should come into school wearing their PE kits and trainers.

Pirate Day

We had fun on our 'Pirate Dress Up' day! smiley

Outdoor Maths

Playing games like 'Welly Toss' and scoring them ourselves.

RE

In RE we have been learning about our church family and about our local church, 'The Sacred Heart of Jesus' in Sittingbourne. We used resources both inside and out and built our own churches, using Poddley, blocks and crates and some of us drew what we would find inside the church.

Real PE

PE on the KS2 playground was fun! smiley

Pirates

We are learning about pirates and we have read 'Pirates Love Underpants' and 'Captain Beastlies Pirate Party' - we have really enjoyed them.

We have been building our own pirate ships.
