Year 6 Safer Internet Day 2021 - Here is some of the wonderful work you have produced today as a class!
Term 3 Art - Michelangelo Inspired Art Work
Term 3 French - Animals and Prepositions
Term 3 PE
Children in Need 2020 - Thank you to everyone who came dressed up on Friday and who donated to such a worthy cause. In year 6, we took part in the last 20 minutes of Joe Wick's 24hr PE challenge and spent some time reflecting on how much we have to be grateful for in our lives.
Remembrance Day Display - In our classroom we have put all of our Remembrance day work onto our RE display. It is lovely to have a focal point in our classroom, dedicated to remembering our heroes.
Remembrance Day 11.11.2020 - We created a display of poppies and placed them in our Remembrance area at school. We remembered those who gave their lives for our freedom.
Wednesday’s Harvest Poetry!
Wednesday Harvest Art! We practiced mixing paint using our knowledge of the colour wheel and painted Harvest produce and scenes.
Tuesday’s Real PE Lesson Two
Monday’s Outdoor Maths! We explored multiplying 4 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers outside using whiteboards and partner talk!
Friday’s Science! We explore how the Earth moves around the sun using Lottie and William as our sun and Earth. We worked out how long a year and day was by exploring the Earth’s orbit around the sun and how it spins on its axis.
Thursday’s PE! We had great fun learning to play throw tennis with Mrs King.
Tuesday’s Geography’s! We explored the topography of our Earth and used a water and paper plate demonstration to understand how the tectonic plates sit on top of the mantle and move.
Monday’s Outdoor English! We took sentences that needed punctuating outside and used natural objects to add in inverted commas, commas, full stops, exclamation marks and question marks.
Friday’s Science! We cut out the planets in our solar system so that their sizes were scaled down to fit onto our field while still being to scale. Some of us were the sun and others of us were planets who orbited the sun. We explored why different planets take different amounts of time to orbit the sun.
