Miss Sewell, Mrs Hyams and Mrs Davis support the Gentle Giraffes with their learning. Our topics have been carefully selected to ensure a fun and engaging curriculum that will help the children flourish. We encourage the children to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways which helps demonstrate their ability. Independence is also important to us so we encourage the children to do activities for themselves, having classroom jobs and setting high expectations for them to strive for.

Homework

Children are expected to read every day and to read to an adult on a regular basis. We also would ask that all books are bought in daily.

There will be spellings each week - a mixture of common exception words and year 2 spelling rule words.

Maths homework will begin with number bond / timetables activities.

PE

During Term 1, we will have PE lessons on a Monday/Thursday and a Tuesday.

As the weather continues to get colder, please ensure your child has  warmer clothes for PE as some sessions will be outdoors.

Please make sure PE kits are in school at all times as PE days may change to suit the timetable.
