Is it a question?
We have been learning how to write a question mark and what it is is used for in our writing. Today, we played a game of question or not? Children had to listen to a sentence and work out whether it was a question sentence or a simple sentence, they would then identify if the sentence needed a question mark or full stop. They did a fantastic job!
Where is Australia?
We kicked off our new Geography topic by locating Australia on a globe. We learnt that Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere as it is south of the equator. This new knowledge helped us to locate the country as we knew it would be in the bottom half of the globe.
One more and one less
In maths, we have been identifying one more and one less than a given number. We have used a variety of manipulatives to reinforce our learning. We even played the 'dice game', where children had to roll a pair of dice and work out what was one more and one less than the number they had rolled. We had great fun
