Week One
What a fantastic visit from poet, Kat Francois! We had such a fun time joining in the poem about Hopsie the rabbit and we loved writing our own poems about each of our cultural identities. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon, Kat!
This week, we started learning about the Ancient Greeks, starting by understanding when and where they appeared in history. Of course, we made use of our fantastic outdoor timeline to help us out!
In science this week, we began discussing how we can classify animals. We worked in groups to separate animals into four different groups that we came up with. This was really tricky but gave us excellent opportunities to re-familiarise ourselves with key vocabulary from previous years. Once all animals were grouped, we went around supporting and refuting each others' ideas like real scientists!
