Secondary School application process

Applications for 2021


You must apply for a secondary school place for your child to start year 7 at secondary school. You will need to do this when your child is in Year 6 at primary school.


Secondary school applications opened on 1 September 2020 and closes at midnight on the evening of 2 November 2020.

Please click on the following link to access the online application form at Kent County Council for secondary school places.


You can use this system to apply online for school places. Please log in to access your account, remembering that your username is your email address. If you created your account before June 2016, it won't work anymore and you will need to create a new one. Please ensure you have read KCC’s Admissions Privacy Notice before you apply.

Kent County Council processes applications between 3 November 2020 and 28 February 2021.


If you applied online you will receive email on 1 March 2021 after 4 pm to tell you which school your child has been offered. KCC cannot guarantee the exact time you will receive your email, this will depend on your email service provider.


You can also log in after 5 pm on 1 March 2021 to view your offer online. If you need to reset your password you must use the email address you registered with.
