What a lovely week to finish the term off nicely! We continued with our Easter focus this week and in English worked on sentence structure. In maths, we finished off our work on odd and even numbers. We also made Easter gardens, looked at the Jelly Bean Prayer, had an Easter egg hunt and an Easter bonnet parade!
This week in English, we have been learning about the Easter story, making story maps and retelling. In maths, we have been learning about odd and even numbers and counting in 2s. In RE, we have been focussing on Easter, learning about artefacts and the importance of Easter, making finger puppets and creating salt paintings.
This week in English, we created our own thought bubbles for the children in Quest. In maths, we explored weighing items and in Art, we studied the work of Wassily Kandinsky and created our own concentric circle designs.
Our first week back was a busy one! We wrote colour poems in English and investigated measurements in maths. In Science we experimented with colour, camouflage, light and shadows. In PE, we practised throwing and catching.
