History - Personal Timelines
This term, we are learning about dinosaurs and when they existed in History. To gather a sense of what history actually means, to begin with, the children shared photos of themselves as babies and toddlers and we placed the photos on a class timeline from 0 to 5 years old. We discussed that this was their own personal timeline and history of their short lives to date.
We then visited the 'History Timeline' board and looked at how there have been so many different events throughout history. The children found when the dinosaurs existed and said, 'wow, it was a long time ago!'
