‘A love for God, ourselves and others’

Week 7

We had a brilliant science lesson with Dr. Green this week! Dr. Green, who is a doctor of cardiology and a St. Peter's parent, came to talk to us about our bodies. She brought in some medical items for us to handle and explore, and she also did an ultrasound of our hearts, which was amazing! Thank you for visiting us, Dr. Green!

In geography, we explored the pros and cons of tourism in Spain. We started with a sorting activity to find out some of the issues surrounding this area, then we had a horseshoe debate where we discussed whether we were 'for' tourism or 'against' tourism.

In RE today, we were exploring Jesus' Compassion. We used our bibles to find some stories that demonstrate Jesus' compassion and then we acted these out. Finally, we painted some pictures to represent compassion in some way.

Look at our beautiful landscapes! All term, we have been working towards this final outcome of painting a landscape of King Louie's jungle ruins and I think year 6 have done a brilliant job of this! We added some more abstract, cubism elements too based on our study of Picasso. Can you find these in our paintings?
