Homework & Important Links

Homework

Homework will be set on a Friday and is expected to be completed each week. There will be a mixture of tasks, consisting of either a maths or an English task and spellings or a grammar task. This is to be completed on top of daily reading.

Homework will no longer be submitted to the class teacher, but you should mark your work using the answers provided in order to gain immediate feedback.

Reading

Here at St Peter's we encourage a love for reading and ask that, at home, children in Year 2 read everyday and have the opportunity to read aloud at least once a week to an adult.

Spellings

We also ask the children to practise the week's spelling rule at home. They can do this in a number of ways: look, say, cover, write, check and correct; finding their words in a dictionary; writing the words in sentences; creating word searches or cross words; being tested by family/friends to spell the words written down, aloud or even backwards.

Well-being is important! If your child is struggling to complete the work set, please inform Mrs James or Mr Tierney and we can support them in class with it.

Please find your homework tasks and answers below.
