Week 3 has been busy for Year 4 as we have completed a whole unit of area and measurement in maths, which the children really enjoyed. Next week, we will begin a unit of work on multiplication and division, as well as complete some Autumn assessments.
In computing, the children learnt how to use onion skinning to improve their stop motion projects. They used this skill to make short movies in pairs, giving them the skill to move on to their full movie next week.
In science this week, the children learnt which materials conduct electricity and which are insulators. They tested materials themselves using electric circuits.
And finally, our DT projects are well underway with some very creative houses being constructed. The children investigated how pneumatics work using syringes; it was great fun.
