Week 6
In RE, we learnt about the Annunciation. We explored some existing art work depicting this holy event before creating our own tableaux in pairs and then a piece of art each.
In gymnastics, we started to put together all of our learning from the past few weeks and created sequences!
In cricket, we had our first go at a proper match!
In history, we learnt about ancient Greek architecture and its impact on the modern world. We understood that the Greeks used maths and science to create columns, which were such a successful architectural feat that some of their buildings are still standing thousands of years later! We made our own Greek temples out of paper to see the effect of columns in action.
In DT, we created our housing for our mechanisms!
This week's Wednesday Word was all about our preparations for advent. We lit our candles by our crib and added our first flame to our advent wreath.
In computing we explored navigation paths. We looked at an existing website and wrote down the navigation paths we took and then we wrote ideas for our own navigation paths for our own websites.
