week 6
Week 7 has brought lots of smiles as we have enjoyed starting the festive season together. Our RE and Wednesday Word this week has focused on the birth of Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas. We have written prayers asking for God's help in preparing our hearts during Advent to ensure we make time for Jesus and to be close to God.
In History, we learnt that the Indus Valley people disappeared from the region around 1500BC for reasons that historians cannot be certain. The children explored different theories for the Indus Valley decline and made inferences from evidence. In music this week, the children used percussion instruments to accompany a piece of festive music, changing the rhythm, tempo and playing legato or forte to reflect he piece of music and its feel.
