Welcome to Rome's Class Page!

Dear Families,

 This is the class page for Year 4, Rome class, where you will find useful information relating to your child's class this year. Each term, I will add a termly leaflet, which you are encouraged to read as it details the learning and events for the coming term. You will also find a weekly gallery where I will upload a handful of weekly photos along with a brief note on the week's activities or learning. 

Please stay up to date with weekly information by checking the school app and our class page regularly. Here you will find details of weekly and termly homework tasks, notices, work to praise and share, requests for things in school, and many more important notices. 

As mentioned in the leaflet, times tables knowledge will be a big feature this year, and your child must have time each week to practice on the TTRS app and recite the tables to 12x12 verbally. It is expected that all children will be fluent in all tables x2-x12 before the summer term. Do let us know if you need a reminder of the TTRS log-in.

There is also a 'homework page' where you will find your child's weekly homework tasks. These tasks do not need to be checked in school but you are encouraged to self mark and make corrections using the answers provided. If your child requires help with any of the tasks or support please do not hesitate to contact me.  

Please ensure your child is reading for a minimum of twenty minutes a day to an adult, please log reading activity (including the page number) in their reading journal.  Your child will have a school 'AR' book which they will take a 'test' on after completing it. Children will only move onto a higher level book once they have secured enough 'passes' (85% or over).
